  • Problem with echolists

    Hi all,

    I'm trying to set myself up as a hub and appear to be mostly successful with WinPoint at one end and my Synchronet BBS at the other.

    The problem I'm having is with areafix and sending %LIST returns every group I have available. Not what I want.

    in /sbbs/ctrl/echolists I have fido-z1.na

    In echocfg -> EchoLists I pick the file and assign at key. I have no hub address and forward AreaMgr Requests to no.

    Then in Linked Nodes I have the same EchoList Key assigned.

    Not sure what I'm doing wrong here, but maybe someone can see what I'm missing.

    Nevermind, issue solved, thanks to rampage on irc.

    Make sure you have echocfg->EchoMail Setttings->Allow Nodes to Add Areas from Area File set to "No" (the default) for this behavior you're seeking.
