The mass firings of government employees -- instead of focusing on under/ nonperformers -- does nothing great for us as it increases unemployment.

I don't know how it works in your state, but here they can be on it for 26 weeks and that's it. Then, unless they like living in dumpster enclosures, they get real jobs.

Firings and encouraged early retirements of NWS and NOAA employees, especially with severe weather season going on, does nothing great for
us. It has left our local NWS office, in a metro area with over a million people, short staffed and without a meteorologist-in-charge. All that will eventually do is get a few of "us" killed.

Meteorologists are not essential. Get a house with a basement in case of a tornado, and make sure it's not in a flood zone. You'll be fine. (And if you need volcano insurance, just let me know hehe)

They are all bad. Anyone who entered this country illegally, or stayed after their visa expired, is bad. I don't want illegals doing any jobs here. There's such a thing as a work visa and if someone don't have one then they'd better get goin.

The tariffs are going to do nothing but increase prices... something they claim won't happen but, surprise, they got real touchy about when a rumor circulated that a big online retailer might expose them on it.

The tariffs are making the world elite angry. The world elite liked things better the way they were when Biden was president. They are experts at ventriloquy because they have their hands up peoples' butts making them show frowny faces.

Causing trade wars with allies does nothing for us, except make prices go up.

Alarmists have been saying this. But I just don't feel the heat yet.

Removing money from juvenile mental health programs will do nothing for us, except maybe get more of our kids killed -- something real ironic coming from a group that is supposedly all about "saving babies" and also protecting our 2A rights, which are assailed every time some f'ed up kid shoots up a school.

I don't know any juveniles or anyone who has had their access to mental health care taken away. This reminds me of when I was a kid at Kmart and I set all the display alarm clocks to go off at the same time.

"Mental health programs" sounds like pure crap to me. I'm deeply concerned about violence in schools and I'd much rather have metal detection in schools rather than some therapist with an associates degree.
